For Anxious Patients

Intravenous Sedation (IV) Included in the Price – Less Pain From the Start

Most clinics only use local anesthesia. At CE, an intravenous (IV) sedation is administered first, and only then local anesthesia – many patients report that the initial pain is felt about 50% less, at no extra cost.

Most Clinics
Type of Anesthesia Local anesthesia only
Start of Procedure Noticeable injections, more stress
Perceived Pain at the Start 7/10
CE Clinic IV Sedation Included
Type of Anesthesia IV Sedation + Local Anesthesia
Start of Procedure Mild sedation first, injections barely noticeable
Perceived Pain at the Start 3/10 approx. 50% less

The pain scale is for guidance and is based on the subjective perception of patients, not on clinical studies.

Additional post-operative treatment

20-minute laser session
for better blood flow & results

Every patient receives a 20-minute laser session with low-level red light therapy (LLLT). This stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, supports natural hair growth, and can further enhance the results of the transplant – pain-free and at no extra cost.

  • Optimal nutrient supply – More oxygen and active ingredients for the newly transplanted grafts.
  • Healing support – The red light helps inhibit inflammation and promotes tissue regeneration.
  • Potentially stronger growth as part of the supportive aftercare following the hair transplant.

Procedure Safety

Why a "Permanent Team" is Your Advantage

Many clinics employ changing technicians on an hourly basis. At CE, the same well-coordinated team has been working on a permanent basis for years. For you, this means:

Full Responsibility

Unlike freelancers who disappear after the procedure, our team is on-site every day. We know exactly who treated your hair. This is the guarantee that we take full responsibility for your result.

Synergy that Protects Hair

Our technicians have been working in fixed pairs for years. They understand each other blindly. This reduces the time the grafts are outside the body by 30% – a crucial factor for a high survival rate.

Quality over Quantity

Freelancers often work piece-rate, which increases the risk of damage. The CE team has fixed salaries. Their goal is not haste, but the protection and safety of your donor area.

Recommendations Before and After Hair Transplantation

Proper preparation for the procedure and the first few weeks afterward have a huge impact on healing and the final result. Below is a summary of recommendations based on CE guidelines.

1 Before the Procedure
2 The First Few Days After
3 The First 3 Months

Before the Hair Transplant

The goal is a safe procedure and good blood circulation in the scalp on the day of surgery.

  • Inform your consultant and doctor about all illnesses, procedures, and medications (especially in the case of chronic conditions).
  • Blood-thinning medications (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Warfarin, Heparin, Plavix, etc.) must be stopped 7 days before the procedure and for 2 days after – strictly in consultation with your attending physician.
  • Refrain from smoking, alcohol, green tea, and Turkish coffee 7 days before the transplant.
  • On the day of the procedure, wear comfortable, button-up clothing (with a zipper or buttons – nothing that needs to be pulled over the head).
  • Due to the sedation, you must not eat or drink for 6–8 hours before the scheduled surgery time.

The First Few Days After

This period is crucial for the grafts to take root and for proper healing.

  • The first hair wash will take place at the clinic. At home, do not use hot or high-pressure water on your scalp.
  • Sleep on your back for 5 days using the neck pillow. Keep your head upright for the first 3 days and do not bend it deeply forward.
  • Wear button-up clothing for at least 15 days to avoid friction in the transplanted area.
  • Refrain from smoking and alcohol for at least 7 days after the procedure – both negatively affect healing.
  • Avoid swimming pools and saunas for 1 month as well as contact or extreme sports for 3 months (risk of infection and injury).
  • Do not scratch or rub your scalp for the first 15 days and do not wear tight hats or helmets.

The First 3 Months & Regrowth

This is a transitional phase – some of the hair will fall out to grow back stronger later.

  • Days 0–15: Redness, swelling, and crusts are possible. This is normal – do not remove the crusts forcefully and do not scratch.
  • Weeks 3–8: The so-called "Shock Loss" occurs – the transplanted hairs fall out. This is a natural phase, after which healthy hair begins to grow.
  • From around the 3rd month, the hair begins to systematically regrow. Comb it carefully and avoid strong pulling.
  • After 2 weeks, you can use coconut or almond oil on the donor area; on the recipient area only after 10–12 weeks, if the skin is dry or itchy.
  • Do not dye your hair for the first month and do not use harsh chemicals on the scalp.
1 Before the Hair Transplant

The goal is a safe procedure and good blood circulation in the scalp.

  • Inform your consultant about medications.
  • Stop blood thinners 7 days beforehand (after consultation).
  • No nicotine, alcohol, or caffeine 7 days in advance.
  • Wear button-up clothing on the day of surgery.
  • Fast for 6–8 hours before surgery (sedation).
2 The First Few Days After
  • No hot water or high water pressure.
  • Sleep on your back for 5 days (neck pillow).
  • Wear button-up clothing for 15 days.
  • No nicotine/alcohol for at least 7 days.
  • No pool/sauna for 1 month, no contact sports for 3 months.
3 The First 3 Months
  • Shock Loss (weeks 3-8) is completely normal.
  • Visible regrowth starts from the 3rd month.
  • Do not dye your hair in the first month.
  • Send photos to your consultant regularly.

Honest Answers to Your Questions

Is the procedure painful? I'm afraid of the anesthesia.

Unlike many standard clinics, an anesthesiologist (Dr. Muhtesim) watches over your comfort at CE Hospital. You will receive professional intravenous sedation (included in the package price). This is not general anesthesia, but a state of deep relaxation that drastically reduces discomfort and stress during local anesthesia. Most patients simply sleep through this moment or doze off relaxed.

Is it an "office clinic" or a real hospital?

CE Hospital is an independent, multi-story hospital building dedicated entirely to aesthetic medicine and surgery. We have our own operating rooms, a sterilization department, emergency power supply, and resuscitation capacities. It is not a "rented apartment" or an "office floor", which guarantees the highest level of hygienic safety.

I don't speak foreign languages. How will I communicate?

There is no language barrier. An English-speaking interpreter will accompany you at the clinic. In addition, you will be in constant contact via WhatsApp with your Meditravel coordinator throughout your stay. Should you have any problems at the hotel, in the city, or at the airport – write to us, and we will solve the issue remotely within minutes.

Istanbul Airport is huge. How will I find you?

It's impossible to miss. We have prepared a detailed POV video guide for you. In the video, we show you step-by-step: where to turn after getting off, where passport control is, and through which exit you reach the VIP zone, where the driver will be waiting for you with a name sign. It's as easy as a video game.

Will the result look natural? I don't want a "doll look".

This is the decisive quality difference at CE. The team applies strict graft selection. Only single grafts (1 hair) are used on the hairline. This makes the hairline look soft and 100% natural. Multiple grafts (multigrafts) are placed further back to build maximum density.

When can I go back to work?

That depends on the nature of your work:
Office/Home office: possible after just 3–4 days (provided you don't mind the appearance during healing).
Light physical work: after about 7–10 days.
Heavy work/Dust/Helmet: at least a 14–21 day break.
You will receive detailed instructions from the doctor upon discharge.

Are there hidden costs on-site?

The price of the basic package is fixed. You do not pay extra for the "number of grafts" or basic medications. However, we are transparent: Before departure, you will receive a list of optional additional services (e.g., stem cell therapy, additional vitamin infusions) including prices. These are 100% voluntary – you decide.

Do I sign a contract? Am I legally protected?

Yes. You sign a contract with the travel agency Meditravel, which guarantees the organization of the trip and the package conditions. In addition, you will sign the medical consent forms directly on-site at the clinic with CE Hospital, which is responsible for the medical procedure.
